Abstract

International education and exchange, along with common concepts such as globalization, multiculturalism, and global citizenship education, are increasing in proportion to the elementary school curriculum. These international education and exchanges have been slowing down for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they have recently become active again in face-to-face and non-face-to-face ways. The number of teachers who are interested in international education and exchanges and want to introduce them to the educational field is steadily increasing. To support this, various projects by the Ministry of Education or each office of education are actively being carried out, and the budget or scale for projects implemented by themselves is expanding. In this study, we would like to use the club activity program created for such international exchange for elementary English classes. Elementary English class activities were organized in the form of clubs, and through these activities, learners would like to look at what changes have occurred cognitively and definitively, and to find ways to improve and revitalize the international exchange club program. The improvements and activation measures proposed in this study are expected to be applied to overall international education and exchange activities and provide some implications.
