Abstract

This study aims to confirm how self-esteem, self-leadership, and consulting capabilities as consultants' personal abilities affect consultants' job satisfaction, and further verify the relationship on the consultant's willingness to continue to maintain their jobs. For empirical research, an online and offline survey was conducted on consultants engaged in work across the country. A total of 300 copies of the questionnaire were distributed, and the final 175 copies were used for analysis as an effective sample. Frequency, reliability and validity analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis were conducted on the collected survey data using SPSS-27 and AMOS-27 packages for statistical analysis. The results of the empirical analysis are summarized as follows. First, as a result of the hypothesis test, it was analyzed that the consultant's self-esteem had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Second, it was analyzed that the consultant's self-leadership had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Third, it was analyzed that the consultant's consulting capabilities had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Fourth, it was analyzed that the consultant's job satisfaction had a significant positive effect on the intention to continue the job. These findings confirm that the consultant's pride as a consultant, a sense of role as a leader, and one's consulting capabilities have a positive impact on consulting jobs and one's job consciousness. This study is meaningful in providing working-level implications for consultant performance by confirming the relative importance of the factors affecting consultant's job satisfaction and job retention.
