Abstract

This study aims to provide basic data to improve academic enthusiasm by analyzing the moderated mediating effect of real-life delinquency experience in the influence of attention deficit on academic enthusiasm through teacher relationships. The data were analyzed using the 3rd year (2020) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The samples used for the analysis was 2,590 middle school seniors nationwide, and the data were analysed using SPSS PC+ Window ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.1. As for the statistical analysis method, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS PC+. In addition, a moderated mediating effect analysis was conducted using the PROCESS macro, and the bootstrap method was applied to verify the moderated mediating effect. As a result of the study, first, there was a significant correlation between attention deficit, teacher relationship, real-life delinquency experience, and academic enthusiasm. Second, the real-life delinquency experience moderated the effect of attention deficit on academic enthusiasm through teacher relationships. The conclusion of this study is that real-life delinquency experience reduces the effect of adolescents' attention deficit on academic enthusiasm through teacher relationships. Based on the results of this study, a plan to protect academic enthusiasm was proposed.
