Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the level of case management performance of child integrated case managers working at Dream Start and to identify factors that affect case management performance. To collect data, an online survey was conducted on child integrated case managers in 229 local Dream Start sites listed on the Dream Start homepage, and the responses of 248 were finally analyzed. Variables that could affect case management performance included family-centered practice perspective, interpersonal competency, professional identity, job stress, and organizational environment. For data analysis, factor analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS/WIN 26.0. As a result of the study, first, the degree of case management practice of child integrated case managers averaged 4.00 points (based on 5 points), and by sub-area, the order of inspection/evaluation/closure, initial counseling/needs assessment/planning, and intervention practice was shown. Second, integrated case managers experienced high level of role ambiguity as job stress and rated the supervision system the lowest. Third, as a factor influencing case management performance, family-centered practice was the most influential, followed by professional identity. Based on the above results, measures to enhance the capacity building and case management performance level of Dream Start child integrated case managers were suggested.
